Please support me!

I’m taking on the Mega Miles Challenge in support of the Charity for Civil Servants. Make a donation to my page and let’s go one step closer to making sure no civil servant faces life’s challenges alone

Every penny we raise helps to ensure our free, confidential support is there for colleagues when life gets tricky, from money worries and financial help to wellbeing and mental health support.

As Prevail trainers, we spend a lot of time talking about mental health - how to look after ourselves, how to support colleagues, and how important it is to ask for help early. At DVLA, we’re proud to be part of an organisation that takes wellbeing seriously and continues to invest in creating a genuinely supportive place to work and breaking down the stigma around mental health.

One of the resources we regularly signpost through Prevail is the Charity for Civil Servants. It’s a vital source of practical, emotional and financial support for colleagues across the Civil Service who may be going through difficult times - whether that’s due to illness, unexpected life events, mental health challenges, or financial hardship.

Having an organisation like the Charity for Civil Servants available makes a real difference. It reinforces the message we share in Prevail every day: you’re not alone, and support is available. Knowing that help extends beyond the workplace, with confidential and compassionate support when it’s needed most, is something we’re incredibly proud to promote.

That’s why we’re raising money for this amazing cause.

By fundraising for the Charity for Civil Servants, we’re not just giving back, we’re actively supporting the same values we champion through Prevail: early help-seeking, reducing stigma, and creating a culture where people feel safe to speak up and get support when life feels tough.

Every contribution helps ensure that this vital support continues to be there for civil servants who need it most - possibly even someone we work alongside every day.

For colleagues like Hannah, that support can be life-changing: “I couldn’t even put into words how terrible it was. I was really unwell by this point and stress just took me out. I ended up taking time off work from anxiety. It’s about having someone to listen to you and tell you you’re going to be alright”.
