Please support me!

I’m taking on the Mega Miles Challenge in support of the Charity for Civil Servants. Make a donation to my page and let’s go one step closer to making sure no civil servant faces life’s challenges alone

I completed the Belfast Marathon last month. After this event I am undertaking this challenge.  For few weeks after I was only out a few days a weeks. I aim to get out most days to complete a run and I am quite active so perhaps I can at least aim for 10 k steps a day perhaps 15k for month of June.

Every penny we raise helps to ensure our free, confidential support is there for colleagues when life gets tricky, from money worries and financial help to wellbeing and mental health support.

For colleagues like Hannah, that support can be life-changing: “I couldn’t even put into words how terrible it was. I was really unwell by this point and stress just took me out. I ended up taking time off work from anxiety. It’s about having someone to listen to you and tell you you’re going to be alright”.

My Updates

June 8th - 14th

Another large week of steps. Never missed a day out running. Saturday was a a particularly big day with a 10 mile run in the morning then in the evening my sister asked me to go for a 4 mile run.  A few days I wouldn't fancied going out much with one particularly wet morning.  Thanks for support folks.

June 1st - 7th

Folks - a productive week on the steps. Each morning I ran at least 4 miles. Then a 10k on Sunday. All around Kilkeel Harbour - a few days it wasn't very nice weather wise.  32 miles altogether. After running Belfast marathon on May 3rd running took a backwards step. Nice to get back at it. Nearly 17k steps done on average this week.  I was on the bus all week - so had to walk a bit extra and then working in port get extra steps in but very much more than I usually get in. Living on a farm helps with steps also. Thanks folks for the support with this and nice to take part in challenge for a good cause.
