I’m taking on the Mega Miles Challenge in support of the Charity for Civil Servants.

The Charity for Civil Servants supports current, former and retired civil servants when they face tough times.  From mental health struggles and financial assistance to relationship issues, getting through grief, and coping with disability, they’re here to help people stay strong, whatever life brings.

They’ve been there for civil servants for over 137 years, providing an umbrella of support when it’s needed most and so I'm fundraising to make sure they can be there for future generations too.

Bit late for an update...

Thursday 30th May
Amazingly, we are nearly at the end of Megamiles already!
I had hoped I would smash it out the park and then some but I find myself, running short of time and actually having to run now, which is not a pretty sight!
This has definitely been a journey...
Changeable weather, life getting in the way, work getting in the way and a healthy dose of laziness thrown in too.
Onwards and upwards, I will keep walking, I quite like my lunchtime riverwalk, I may encourage (annoy) colleagues to join me too :)

So it begins…

It started out sunny…
Then ended sweaty…
I am determined this year to pound the pavements and make a difference for the CFCS and also hopefully my waistline!
We all know that being outdoors helps your own wellbeing, we all know that exercise helps your mental health, boosts endorphins and trims your shape, we all know that eating healthier works…
We just do Hee Haw about it!
