Please support me!

I’m taking on the Mega Miles Challenge in support of the Charity for Civil Servants.

The Charity for Civil Servants supports current, former and retired civil servants when they face tough times.  From mental health struggles and financial assistance to relationship issues, getting through grief, and coping with disability, they’re here to help people stay strong, whatever life brings.

They’ve been there for civil servants for over 137 years, providing an umbrella of support when it’s needed most and so I'm fundraising to make sure they can be there for future generations too.

My Updates

Day 3 - 03/05/2024

Friday 3rd May
Today had rain expected so put my turbo walking shoes on and did the 2.2 miles in 35 mins 42 seconds and only 12 seconds outside my personal best.  Doing the walk home and a mile from home then the rains came. Didn’t get too soaked but my god my feet hips and legs ache. Thank heavens for bank holiday weekends and three days rest

Day 2 - 02/05/2024

Thursday 2nd May
Day 2 - Conditions were ideal nice cool breeze and walked at a reasonable pace. Yesterday covered route in 35 and a half minutes but today was 37 dead but still did 40 mins again on way back. Can’t work out why but we shall see tomorrow

Day 1 - 01/05/2024

Thursday 2nd May
Anticipated the walk would take 45 minutes as advised by google but ended up doing it in under 35 and a half minutes. Kept my fit bit on all day and with the walk to work and back plus walking at lunch time and around the office was just short of 8 miles so happy 1st day.
