Please support me!
I’m taking on the Mega Miles Challenge in support of the Charity for Civil Servants. Make a donation to my page and let’s go one step closer to making sure no civil servant faces life’s challenges alone.
Every penny we raise helps to ensure our free, confidential support is there for colleagues when life gets tricky, from money worries and financial help to wellbeing and mental health support.
For colleagues like Hannah, that support can be life-changing: “I couldn’t even put into words how terrible it was. I was really unwell by this point and stress just took me out. I ended up taking time off work from anxiety. It’s about having someone to listen to you and tell you you’re going to be alright”.
Your donations will go further thanks to Baringa

“Civil servants play a vital role in delivering essential services and driving long‑term change, often under intense pressure. My Mega Miles Challenge 2026
This June, I’ve been taking part in the Mega Miles Challenge, raising money for The Charity for Civil Servants — one step, one mile and one interesting stop at a time.
I pledged to walk at least five miles a day throughout June and, by 22 June, I’d already covered 156 miles— averaging just over seven miles a day. By close on 28th June, I’d walked 196 miles.
But this challenge hasn’t just been about clocking up steps. I’ve been combining fundraising with staycation exploring — turning walks into mini adventures through historic cities, gardens, riversides and countryside trails.
Highlights so far have included treasure-trailing around Winchester, spotting Roman walls and dodging downpours in cafés and pubs; wandering through woodland at The Vyne (NT); through beautiful rose gardens and along the River Test at Mottisfont(NT), around the lake at Petworth House and Gardens (NT) admiring the multitude of ducks (and trying to avoid the droppings!); revisiting Fishbourne Roman Palace; and enjoying evening walks along the Basingstoke Canal — including a fleeting glimpse of a tawny owl in the wild.
There was also a London day out, with a visit to Tate Modern, a walk across the Millennium Bridge and plenty of steps around St Paul’s and Covent Garden.
It’s been a reminder that fundraising doesn’t have to mean doing something gruelling — it can also be a chance to get outside, discover new places and enjoy the journey along the way. Most importantly, every mile is helping raise vital funds for civil servants and their families who may be facing difficult times.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and support - it really has made a difference. Eve
