We’re the Education Estates Directorate in the Department for Education. Every day, we work to create safe, sustainable and high‑quality learning environments across England - and this June, we’re taking on the MegaMiles Challenge as one team.

MegaMiles is a chance for us to come together in a positive, collective way - walking, wheeling, running or cycling - and to support colleagues across the wider Civil Service community who may be facing difficult moments. Whether it’s adding a few more steps during the working day, taking a lunchtime walk, or heading out for evening and weekend miles, every bit of activity contributes to our shared goal. As a directorate of over 650 people, even a small proportion of us taking part will add up to something meaningful.
