I’m taking on the Mega Miles Challenge in support of the Charity for Civil Servants.
The Charity for Civil Servants supports current, former and retired civil servants when they face tough times. From mental health struggles and financial assistance to relationship issues, getting through grief, and coping with disability, they’re here to help people stay strong, whatever life brings.
"When we didn't know who to turn to, the Charity was our life raft. We grabbed onto it when we felt like we didn't have anything to hold onto. It gave us answers to a question when we didn't have the answer ourselves... and it was so important to have that support at the time."

They’ve been there for civil servants for nearly 140 years, providing an umbrella of support when it’s needed most and so I'm fundraising to make sure they can be there for future generations too.

Choice or Habbit?
It has nearly been 2 weeks of mega mile and i've clocked up approx 35 miles. in comparison to some on the leaderboard, I hide in shame BUT in comparison to my activity level last month, I can smile with pride!It has been said that once you do something for a number of days it becomes a habit. I'm deffo not sure what that amount is but its not 12 days apparently. THIS is definitely still a choice, as some days i've really not wanted to go out and walk or work out, but i've been doing it for the greater good. I'm hoping by May 31st its all a habit which I wont be able to live without, but until then, I will continue to push myself! I hope you all can stay motivated too! :)

Mega Miles May Has Begun
So it's day 1 of Mega miles May and I'm gearing myself up to get stepping. It's 11:48am and I've wanted my lunch since about 10:30 but my dedication to the cause will get me walking this lunch time and that will help me enjoy lunch even more.Thank you to those who have started to support and send in donations. May the 1st (Pun intended) day exemplify the month of movement and togetherness, starting better habits and a healthier lifestyle, whilst contributing to the bigger picture of helping others.
