Please support me!

I’m taking on the Mega Miles Challenge in support of the Charity for Civil Servants.

The Charity for Civil Servants supports current, former and retired civil servants when they face tough times.  From mental health struggles and financial assistance to relationship issues, getting through grief, and coping with disability, they’re here to help people stay strong, whatever life brings.

They’ve been there for civil servants for over 137 years, providing an umbrella of support when it’s needed most and so I'm fundraising to make sure they can be there for future generations too.

My Updates

The Beginning

Wednesday 8th May

This is a month of many firsts, my first Mega Miles Campaign challenge and first blog post even! No doubt that with such skill in picking an innovative and original group name it will turn into the literary masterpiece it was intended to be.

At time of writing, I am 52 miles towards my personal goal of 155 miles, boosted heavily by an 18 mile trek from Tarbet to Helensburgh on May day Monday. Excellent views are to be had on the west bank of Loch Lomond, so fantastical that I misremembered to take any good photos of the view

This Saturday I'll be heading up to Aviemore backpacking overnight with the intent of heading up to the Cairngorms via Loch Morlich.

It is a pleasure to be supporting the Charity for Civil Service, their work in assisting colleagues across all departments of the civil service is commendable, and I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who has contributed to the campaign

My next post is intended to be written for Tuesday the 14th; assuming the Aberdonian in me returns from the mountains

Hope you've all had a great May day weekend and any suggestions of hikes to undertake will be gratefully received
