We're better together:

Times may be hard for some civil servants this winter. With rising costs, many are struggling to make ends meet. Others may have lost a loved one and are frightened about facing their first Christmas alone. But what happens when the helpers cry for help? With your support, their calls will always be answered by our help team. Make a donation today to ensure civil servants in need never have to face dark times alone.

Gift Aid Yes, I want the Charity for Civil Servants to claim back the tax on all donations I make in the future or have made in the past 4 years. Please treat all donations as Gift Aid donations. Gift Aid is a scheme enabling registered charities to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer, effectively increasing the amount of the donation. I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. Please notify the charity if you: want to cancel this declaration/change your name or home address/no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.

"Charity for Civil Servants is just amazing and the people in the help team are like

Marilyn used to love winter and Christmas time, as her mum Ellen made everything so special for everyone.

Yet one December, Ellen had a fall and broke her leg, having to spend a long time in hospital. Sadly, despite everyone rallying round, Ellen’s health went downhill rapidly and she passed away. At first, Marilyn thought she was coping. “I didn’t accept my mum’s death for a long time and tried to keep busy.”

“I was absolutely exhausted.” Like many of us, Marilyn didn’t realise how much her grief had hit her, until she realised she wasn’t eating properly and was close to a full-on mental breakdown.

Like so many civil servants, Marilyn had concentrated on helping other people. But sometimes the helpers need their own angel too.

So when Marilyn reached out to the Charity for Civil Servants for help, it was her turn to be shown the kindness of others.

Your gift can help people like bob know he's not alone

Bob and Daisy were deeply in love and were planning to get married. But after a battle with cancer, Daisy sadly passed away. Bob desperately tried to cope with his grief, while facing a huge list of practical things to sort out. We did everything we could to help him through the toughest time of his life. “Charity for Civil Servants kept me afloat,” says Bob, “I’m so grateful.”
