House stepping

Surprising how many steps can be done whilst cleaning the house. I could probably complete a marathon if I would "I Want to Break Free" on repeat.

Second Run and Cycling to Shops

Felt I had a bit more "go" this time round. Still sweaty work, but it's really a boon to be able to have access to a forest at my lunchbreak. Gave the thumbs up to fellow runners I met on my way - feels good to get back into the groove again. And running to the rhythm of "Munich" by the Editors in the sun was good too. Will be doing some cycling later too to mix it up.

First run in ages

A somewhat moist slog down the road before singing practice. My lungs are definitely crying out for less abuse, but they shall get no rest and recuperation.
Fact is, I am carrying too much weight for my bones and added to that is the fact that my brain still thinks I am 25 so keeps urging me faster and faster. Going to take a while to get back into it, but looking forward to a toddle in the forest later. I won't be running any marathons any time soon, but I should hopefully regain some of the enthusiasm for running I have lost. On on!

Please support me!

I’m taking on the Mega Miles Challenge in support of the Charity for Civil Servants.

The Charity for Civil Servants supports current, former and retired civil servants when they face tough times. From mental health struggles and financial assistance to relationship issues, getting through grief, and coping with disability, they’re here to help people stay strong, whatever life brings.

"When we didn't know who to turn to, the Charity was our life raft. We grabbed onto it when we felt like we didn't have anything to hold onto. It gave us answers to a question when we didn't have the answer ourselves... and it was so important to have that support at the time."
Graham

They’ve been there for civil servants for nearly 140 years, providing an umbrella of support when it’s needed most and so I'm fundraising to make sure they can be there for future generations too.
